Day 1 : Arrive Durban Airport -- Transfer to ScubaAddicts Dive Lodge -- Overnight ScubaAddicts Dive Lodge, South Africa.

Arrive Durban International Airport where we will meet you and transfer you to ScubaAddicts Dive Lodge, situated in the small diving town of Umkomaas about 80km south of the Durban International Airport. When you arrive at the dive lodge, you will be checked into your room, meet the team and spend the day relaxing on the beach or around the pool. In the late afternoon we will give you a briefing about the shark diving on the reefs of the Aliwal Shoal in South Africa. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the lodge. Day 2 : Shark Diving - [2 x Shark Dives] -- Overnight ScubaAddicts Lodge & Dive Centre.

We meet for breakfast before moving down to the on-site dive centre to kit-up and prepare for the diving.

Today our two shark dives take place on the of the Aliwal Shoal in South Africa. The reefs are rated as some of the best in the world for shark diving and we aim to show you as many species of shark as possible including Tiger Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Oceanic Blacktip Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Guitar Sharks & Whitetip Reef Sharks.

The Aliwal Shoal is also home to a huge variety of other marine life including Whales, Dolphin, Turtles, Manta Rays, Devil Rays, Eagle Rays, Ribbontail Rays, Moray Eels, Game Fish, many species of reef fish & more >> diving the aliwal shoal

After the diving we return to the dive lodge where there are hot showers and a secure wet-room to store your gear, ready for the next days shark diving. In the afternoons if the conditions allow we offer extra diving or you can enjoy the afternoon relaxing at the lodge, walk on the beach or visiting local attractions. Day 3 : Shark Diving - [2 x Shark Dives] -- Overnight ScubaAddicts Lodge & Dive Centre.

We meet for breakfast before moving down to the dive centre to kit-up and prepare for the diving. The diving starts with a launch from the Umkomaas river or beach depending on the dive sites and tide. Enjoy two more shark dives looking for the different shark species on the reefs of the Aliwal Shoal in South Africa as well as the huge variety of other marine life including Whales, Dolphin, Turtles, Manta Rays, Devil Rays, Eagle Rays, Ribbontail Rays, Moray Eels, Game Fish, many species of reef fish & more. In the afternoons if the conditions allow we can do extra diving >> diving the aliwal shoal

Day 4 : Shark Diving - [1 x Shark Dive ; 1 x baited Shark Dive] -- Overnight ScubaAddicts Lodge & Dive Centre.

After breakfast we launch to dive on the reefs of the Aliwal Shoal in South Africa. Each day we dive different dive sites that are only selected once we get out to sea and get a chance to check the conditions so we know where the best days shark diving will be. Our secound dive will be a baited shark dive aimed at getting you up-close and personal with the Oceanic Blacktip Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Bull Sharks and more. The dive is a drift dive at between 10 & 15 meters and is an awesome way to get some great photos and video. In the afternoons if the conditions allow we can launch again and go out to the Aliwal Shoal to do some extra shark dives. >> diving the aliwal shoal

Day 5 : Shark Diving - [1 x Shark Dive ; 1 x baited Shark Dive] -- Overnight ScubaAddicts Lodge & Dive Centre.

Today we go out in search of more species of shark found on the reefs of the Aliwal Shoal. During the Ragged Tooth Shark season, we find these awesome creatures in many of the caves and overhangs. The Raggies are great to dive with and make for some awesome upclose photos. Our secound dive will be a baited shark dive aimed at getting you up-close and personal with the Oceanic Blacktip Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Bull Sharks and more. The dive is a drift dive at between 10 & 15 meters and makes for an awesome shark dive. In the afternoons if the conditions allow we can launch again and go out to the Aliwal Shoal to do some extra shark dives >> diving the aliwal shoal

Day 6 : Shark Diving - [1 x Shark Dive ; 1 x Baited Tiger Shark Dive] -- Overnight ScubaAddicts Lodge & Dive Centre.

Today is our final day of shark diving which will start with a shark dive one the reefs of the Aliwal Shoal before you get to experience our baited Tiger Shark dive which takes place south of the Aliwal Shoal. We create an odour corridor to attract the Tiger Sharks and once the Tiger Sharks arrive we enter the water to observe the sharks in their natural enviroment. During the dive you will also see other species of shark including Oceanic Blacktip Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Bull Sharks and other species - a truly amazing experience! >> diving the aliwal shoal

After the diving, we transfer north to St. Lucia Wetlands Reserve [about 3-hours]. Set in the heart of Zululand, this is a world heritage site and home to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest game reserve in Africa, established in 1895 and home to the 'Big 5', lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and the black and white rhino.

In the evening enjoy dinner at the lodge or at one of the local restaurants. Overnight St. Lucia, South Africa.

             

Day 7 : Full Day Game Safari in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi -- Overnight St. Lucia.

An early rise for a fully guided open-vehicle safari in the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve. The reserve is home to Africa's 'Big 5', lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and the black and white rhino. You will have breakfast and lunch within the reserve. Viewing areas overlook pans and waterholes enabling you to observe Africa?s wildlife at close range. In the evening enjoy dinner at the lodge or one of the local restaurants. Overnight St. Lucia, South Africa.

                    

Day 8 : Transfer to Ponta Do Oura in Mozambique -- 1 x Shark Dive -- Overnight Ponta Do Oura, Mozambique.

An early rise and we transfer north to the border and enter Mozambique. At the border we change vehicles into 4 x 4 as there are no tar roads from the border to Ponta Do Oura, the adventure begins.

When we arrive in Ponta Do Oura, the boat will be waiting for us to kit-up before heading out for our first shark dives on the fantastic reefs of Ponta Do Oura. The dives will give us a taste of the shark diving, boat launching and adventure that the next few days will bring >> diving ponta do oura

Our accommodation is in a lodge with an awesome deck overlooking the ocean with miles of sandy beaches. In the evening enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants in Ponta Do Oura. Overnight Ponta Do Oura, Mozambique.

             

Day 9 : 2 x shark dives at Ponta Do Oura -- Overnight Ponta Do Oura, Mozambique.

Today we enjoy 2-dives on the pinnacle reef of Ponta Do Oura in Mozambique, rated as one of the best dive sites for Hammerhead Sharks & Bull Sharks. You will also see much more during your dive as these reefs are home to a huge diversity of marine life >> diving ponta do oura

In the afternoon if the conditions allow, we will offer extra dives. After the diving, relax at the lodge or on the beach before enjoying a meal at one of the restaurants in Ponta Do Oura. Overnight Ponta Do Oura, Mozambique.


Day 10 : 2 x shark dives at Ponta Do Oura -- Overnight Ponta Do Oura, Mozambique.

After breakfast we go out for another two dives with the sharks found on the reefs of the Ponta Do Oura. On the way to the dive sites we keep an eye out for Whale Sharks which can be seen most of the year >> diving ponta do oura

In the afternoon if the conditions allow, we will offer extra dives. In the evening enjoy a meal at a restaurant. Overnight Ponta Do Oura, Mozambique.

             

Day 11 : 2 x shark dives at Ponta Do Oura -- Transfer to & Overnight ScubaAddicts Dive Lodge, South Africa.

After breakfast we meet at the dive centre for another day of shark diving on the reefs between Ponat do Oura & Ponta Mamoli in Mozambique. The reefs are home to a huge variety of marine-life including sharks, dolphin, whale sharks, rays, eels, turtles, game fish & much more >> diving ponta do oura

After the diving relax at the lodge or visit some of the local sites. In the evening enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants in Ponta Do Oura. Overnight Ponta Do Oura, Mozambique.

           

Day 12 : 2 x shark dives at Ponta Do Oura -- Transfer to & Overnight ScubaAddicts Dive Lodge, South Africa.

In the morning we enjoy our final diving at Ponta do Oura before heading for the border where we bid farewell to Mozambique and head south back to ScubaAddicts Dive Lodge where you can spend the evening relaxing on the beach or at the pool, reflecting on the shark diving in South Africa & Mozambique. Day 13 : Depart ScubaAddicts Lodge & Dive Centre or extend your stay.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, spend the morning relaxing before departing ScubaAddicts Lodge & Dive Centre.

If you require transfers to Durban International Airport we can arrange the transfer. Other transfers can be arranged.

We don't offer this package over the LOW shark diving season in Ponta Do Oura because we would rather you dive with us when the sharks are around and you get to see what you travelled here to see. We also avoid Christmas & New Year period as this is during local school holidays and there are to many divers in the water so we can't offer high quality diving.

We are aware that this doesn't make good business sense as we could easily fill the package but we would rather you come dive here when you can experience good quality shark diving in South Africa & Mozambique.
