Dive South Africa & Mozambique
12-day 'Sharks, Whale Sharks & Manta Rays'
Join us and experience the very best of South Africa and Mozambique. Each year we plan
a few packages that includes Shark Diving in South Africa and diving with the Whale Sharks &
Manta Rays at Tofo Beach in Mozambique.
Itinerary & Costs.
Day 1 : Arrive Durban
We will meet you at Durban International Airport or other pick-up points as required.
You can arrive at anytime during the day. You will be transferred [+/- 30mins] to our accommodation, where you will
meet the team and spend the day relaxing. In the evening you can enjoy dinner at the lodge or at one of the local bars
or restaurants. Overnight ScubaAddicts Lodge.
Day 2 : 2-dives Aliwal Shoal
An early morning rise for two dives on the Aliwal Shoal, situated about 5kms
offshore from the town of Umkomaas on the Kwazulu Natal South Coast, it has been
rated as one of the best sites in the world to see Ragged Tooth Sharks
& Giant Guitar Sharks. In the evening we enjoy dinner at one of the local bars
or restaurants.
Day 3 : 2-dives Aliwal Shoal
An early morning rise for two more dives with the sharks on the Aliwal Shoal.
Today we go to slightly deeper dive sites or we can also dive the wrecks,
the Produce or the Nebo. In the afternoon we relax at the lodge or enjoy one of
the local activities.
Day 4 : 2-dives Protea Banks
An early morning rise for two dives on the Protea Banks, situated
about 7.5kms offshore from the town of Shelly Beach on Kwazulu Natal’s South Coast.
Our aim today is to dive with Ragged Tooth Sharks or Zambezi [BULL] Sharks,
and by using acoustics, we have upclose encounters with these fantastic creatures.
The Protea Banks offer a great chance to see many different sharks including Hammerheads,
Tiger Sharks, Bronze Whalers, Duskies, Guitar Sharks and more...
In the evening we enjoy dinner at one of the local bars or restaurants.
Day 5 : Tiger Sharks Diving
Today we spend the day at sea, diving with Tiger Sharks on the southern end of the Aliwal
Shoal. The Tiger Shark diving is very similar to the Great White Cage Diving. We create a
chum line to attract the sharks. When the sharks arrive, the real action begins
and we enter the water. We normally have between two and six [but can be as many
as fifteen or more] Tiger Sharks as well as Blacktip [spinner] Sharks
and on occasion other species. This is an amazing encounter with one of the oceans most
awesome predators. In the evening we enjoy dinner at one of the local bars or restaurants.
Day 6 : Transfer to Mozambique
We travel north into Mozambique transferring through the Kingdom of Swaziland where you will
get to take in some of the local experiences and wildlife. Swaziland is situated between
KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa and Maputo in Mozambique. In the afternoon we transfer into
Mozambique to Casa Lisa, just north of Maputo. Our accommodation is in traditional casitas
[chalets] with en-suite facilities. In the evening we enjoy dinner at the local restaurant.
Day 7 : Transfer to Tofo & 1-dive Tofo Beach
An early rise and we transfer north taking in some of the fantastic local
sights along the way to Tofo Beach where the adventure begins with a dive
on the fantastic reefs of Tofo. Our accommodation is in luxury upmarket beach front
chalets with views overlooking the bay with miles of golden sandy beaches and the
launch site for the diving. The casitas , have en-suite facilities and a fantastic
braai [BBQ] area under the palm trees.
Day 8 : 2-dives Tofo Beach
An early morning rise for two dives on the fantastic reefs of Tofo Beach. Today we dive some of the
southern reefs, which are cleaning stations for some of the huge Manta Rays. We also spend some
diving with Whale Sharks. Should the weather and sea conditions permit there will be an option
for more diving in the afternoon. In theevening we enjoy dinner at one of the local bars
or restaurants.
Day 9 : 2-dives Tofo Beach
An early morning rise for two more dives on the fantastic reefs of Tofo Beach getting up-close and
personal at the cleaning stations with the Manta Rays. The reefs of Tofo Beach are in pristine
condition and we encounter a huge variety of marine life. In the evening
we enjoy dinner at one of the local bars or restaurants.
Day 10 : 2-dives Tofo Beach
An early morning rise for two more dives on the fantastic reefs of Tofo Beach getting up-close and
personal at the cleaning stations with the Manta Rays. The reefs of Tofo Beach are in pristine
condition and we encounter a huge variety of marine life. In the evening
we enjoy dinner at one of the local bars or restaurants.
Day 11 : 1-dive Tofo Beach & Transfer Maputo
An early morning rise for your final dive reefs of Tofo Beach before we transfer back to Casa Lisa. Our
accommodation is in traditional casitas [chalets] with en-suite facilities. In the evening we enjoy dinner at the local restaurant.
Day 12 : Airport Transfers
In the morning you enjoy breakfast at the lodge and then you will be transferred to Maputo International Airport where
we will bid you farewell [until the next time.....]

Flights are generally overnight, you can then connect to Durban & from Maputo.
