We are accessible using a 2-wheel drive car and we have plenty of parking at the lodge.

Driving from Durban
[via Hluhluwe / Mbazwana]

Take the N2 Toll road North past Ballito and Richards Bay and Empangeni and continue until the Hluhluwe / Sodwana Bay off-ramp - [approx. 2.5 hours from Durban]. At the top of the off-ramp go RIGHT [over the N2]. Continue through the town of Hluhluwe, following the Sodwana Bay signs.

After Hluhluwe, turn LEFT at the last traffic circle, then turn RIGHT over the train tracks and continue to Mbazwana [approx 1 hour]. At Mbazwane continue straight through the traffic circles, following signs for the Kosi Bay / Kwangwanase / Farazela Border.

When you come to two traffic circles [approx 30-minutes], turn RIGHT at the second one towards Manguzi [Kwangwanase]. Continue through Manguzi, you are about 15-mins from the Border.

If you are leaving your vehicle at the border and using the parking, it's on the LEFT about 200-meters before the border.

Driving from Johannesburg

Take the N12 through Witbank and Middelburg before taking the Hendrina off-ramp.

Travel via Hendrina, Ermelo, Piet Retief and Pongola. Keep driving on the N2 until you see the sign for Jozini turn LEFT, go through Jozini and after the town turn LEFT and cross over the Jozini Dam Wall.

After Jozini, when you reach the T-Junction turn RIGHT and continue towards Manguzi [Kosi Bay / Kwangwanase / Farazela Border]. Continue through Manguzi, you are about 15-mins from the Border.

Kozi Bay Border to Ponta Do Ouro
[accessible with a 2-wheel drive vehicle]

Before leaving the border ensure all passports have been stamped on BOTH the South African side [exit] and the Mozambique side [entry].

You need to do a Temporary Import Permit [TIP] for your vehicle and buy local 3rd party insurance, even if you have insurance, its not worth the hassel. Also list valuable items on your TIP [e.g. Dive Gear etc.]

Once you leave the border follow the tar road for a couple of minutes and go LEFT at the traffic circle [towards Maputo].

Continue for a few minutes until you see the first tar road on your right [Ponta Do Ouro] and turn RIGHT. Continue on this road until the market in Ponta Do Ouro. When you pass through the market go up the hill [the tar road ends], turn RIGHT.

Continue past the police station and up the hill where the road splits, keep LEFT, ScubaAddicts is on the left just after the split.
