Flight Requirements
Arrive : Durban Airport at anytime
Depart : Durban Airport after 4pm [Domestic Flight] or 6pm [International Flight]
When you arrive at Durban Airport you will be met and transferred to Umkomaas.
Please do not book flights until you have confirmed availability and we are holding your space/s.
Aliwal Shoal Accommodation
Your accommodation is situated in the small diving town of Umkomaas and is just a 10-minute walk from the beach.
The dive centre is on-site at the lodge. All rooms have en-suite facilities and rooms are serviced daily.
The lodge offers free Wi-Fi Internet Access, Satellite TV and has an amazing swimming pool area.
Just wake-up, roll out of bed and go shark diving - awesome!
Ponta Do Ouro Accommodation
Your accommodation is situated in Ponta Do Ouro and has an amazing deck over-looking the Indian Ocean.
The beach and the dive centre are just a few minutes walk from the lodge.
All rooms have en-suite facilities, air-conditioning and the rooms are serviced daily.
The lodge offers free Wi-Fi Internet Access and has an amazing swimming pool area.
Just wake-up, roll out of bed and go shark diving - awesome!
St Lucia Accommodation
Your accommodation is situated in the small town of St Lucia perfectly located for your Safari and Hippo / Croc cruise.

Diving Aliwal Shoal South Africa
The Aliwal Shoal is situated about 5-kms from the small diving town of Umkomaas and is rated as one of the top shark diving sites in the world.
Shark Diving on the Aliwal Shoal takes place on either the reefs or the wrecks.
The Aliwal Shoal is home to many species of shark including Tiger Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Blacktip Sharks,
Bull Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Guitar Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks and more.
The baited shark diving takes place on the southern end of the Aliwal Shoal with the main focus of the baited dives being Tiger
Sharks, you often get other species of shark on the dives including Blacktip Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Bull Sharks
and sometimes others.
The Aliwal Shoal is also home to a huge variety of other marine life including Dolphin, Turtles, Rays, Eels, Game Fish,
Reef fish and more.
Water temperature ranges between 23C and 25C during the summer [September to May] and 20C and 22C in the winter [June to August].
Diving Ponta Do Ouro Mozambique
The shark diving in Ponta Do Ouro takes place mainly on the Pinnacles but we can also see sharks on other reefs.
Over the years we have seen 17-species of shark in Ponta Do Ouro including Tiger Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks,
Bull Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Whale Sharks, Spinner Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Java Sharks,
Grey Reef Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Great Hammerhead Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks, Leopard Sharks, Nurse Sharks,
Guitar Sharks and even Great White Sharks.
The reefs of Ponta Do Ouro also offer a huge diversity in other marine-life which ranges from Dolphin, Paperfish,
Frogfish and Spanish Dancers to Honeycomb Eels, huge Round Ribbontail Rays, many species of Turtle and a huge amount
of reef and pelagic fish.
The annual Humpback Whale migration passes the coast of Ponta Do Ouro each year between June and November.
Enjoy the sights of the breaching whales from the lodge as well as from the boats.
Water temperature ranges between 24C and 27C during the summer [September to May] and 21C and 24C in the winter [June to August].
About the Safari
Depart from your lodge just before sunrise and head to Hluhluwe iMfolozi Big 5 Reserve, South Africa’s oldest Big 5 Game Reserve.
Early morning offers you the opportunity to see the animals that are most active at dawn, such
as Lion, leopards, cheetah, wild dogs, and hyenas.
After sunrise breakfast is served in the reserve at one of the many look-out points.
After breakfast you continue exploring the reserve looking for all different kinds of wildlife
including hippo, rhino, giraffe, elephants and more, enjoying the stunning landscape of the
reserve at the same time.
A BBQ Lunch or a cold buffet is served in the park (depending on the weather), at a look-out point or hide.
After the safari you return to St Lucia, to relax and reflect on the day’s sightings.
