Aliwal Shoal Accommodation

Your accommodation is situated in the small diving town of Umkomaas and is just a 10-minute walk from the beach.

The dive centre is on-site at the lodge. All rooms have en-suite facilities and rooms are serviced daily.

The lodge offers free Wi-Fi Internet Access, Satellite TV and has an amazing swimming pool area.

Ponta Do Ouro Accommodation

Your accommodation is situated in Ponta Do Ouro and has an amazing deck over-looking the Indian Ocean.

The beach and the dive centre are just a few minutes walk from the lodge.

All rooms have en-suite facilities, air-conditioning and the rooms are serviced daily.

The lodge offers free Wi-Fi Internet Access and has an amazing swimming pool area.

Shark Diving Aliwal Shoal

The Aliwal Shoal, rated as one of the top shark diving sites in the world is about 5-kms from the small diving town of Umkomaas.

The Aliwal Shoal is home to many species of shark including Tiger Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Guitar Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks and more.

During your diving holiday, you will experience a mix of shark dives on the reef, wreck dives and baited shark dives.

The Aliwal Shoal also offers a huge variety of marine life including Dolphin, Turtles, Rays, Eels, Game Fish, Reef fish and more.

Shark Diving Ponta Do Ouro

The shark diving in Ponta Do Ouro is rated as some of the best shark diving in the world!

The main season for shark diving in Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique is between mid August and end of May.

Over the years we have dived with 17-species of shark on the reefs of Ponta Do Ouro include Tiger Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Bull Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Whale Sharks, Spinner Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Java Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Great Hammerhead Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks, Leopard Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Guitar Sharks and even Great White Sharks.

Most of the shark sightings take place on the Pinnacles and Atlantis reefs but you can also see sharks on other reefs.

Typical Day

After breakfast meet at the dive centre to kit-up and prepare for the days shark diving.

Each day you will experience two dives on the Aliwal Shoal, South Africa or Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique.

The diving starts with a surf launch from the beach before diving with the many species of shark.

After the shark diving, return to the lodge where there are hot showers and a secure wet-room to store your gear.

Spend the afternoon relaxing around the pool, walking on the beach or visit a local attraction.

In the evening enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Arrive : Durban Airport, South Africa at anytime.

Depart : Maputo Airport, Mozambique at anytime.

When you arrive at Durban Airport you will be met and transferred to Umkomaas.

Please do not book flights until you have confirmed availability and we are holding your space/s.
